- GREAT NEWS FOR MOTORISTS AND TAXPAYERS! The Washington State Supreme Court has ruled in favor of AUTO v- Gregoire, the constitutional challenge to the secretive deals cut between Governor Gregoire and Native American Treaty Tribes that has sent over $100 million of WA fuel taxes to tribal station operators. The stage is now set for a showdown before Judge Godfrey in Grays Harbor County wherein the Office of Attorney General will have to try and justify these payments to the tribes, even though no state or federal law or provision in an ancient treaty has been found that entitles tribal stations to a share of the motor fuel taxes that are built into the price of fuel paid by motorists at the pump.
